I don’t really like the finish of plastidip and I’m annoyed that one got fucked up in the lug hole, but I like th the color. I think I’d go for a darker bronze in the future

Why not do it right and powder coat?

To see if he liked it in the first place.

“lug hole” sounds usable as an insult.

Good call!

Yeah....I agree. Oh well, it’s not permanent. Bronze powder coating or new bronze wheels are likely in my future

What the other guy said. Wasn’t totally sure if I’d like it in person, and I had some time to kill this week. $20 of plastidip seemed worth the trial.

Yep! Admitttedly a bit of an inspiration. I don’t like copying anyone though, and I kind of like the meaty look of taller sidewalls so I’m probably going to stick with 18s for my all season set.

Otherwise, looks good.
The Ecoboosts have grown on me a ton, as you can probably tell.

I agree, they look good, and would be even better in a little darker bronze.

Agreed, the ability to test it out is nice. And looks good too. I’ve had dipped wheels now on four of my vehicles and it holds up very well. Each set of wheels I’ve had it on actually lasted over three years. The only time I have issues is getting new tires mounted. But other than that it works well.

Oh yeah, and to get a better finish, hear the cans in hot water before spraying, makes a nice smooth finish.

Nice, I’m with you on the fat sidewalls.

Good point. Plastidip wasn’t a thing when I wanted to change the color of my wheels.
